Contrary to what you might think, Great Danes don't require a lot of room to roam. They are mostly quiet dogs who will enjoy your attention, couch and bed more than a large yard. They can be more expensive to keep than a smaller dog. Not only do they require more dog food, but medical expenses are usually higher because of the larger doses of medication they may need. |

My only regret I have about Great Danes is the fact that large dogs tend to have a shorter life span. This hit me hard last year with the loss of my girls, but it also helped me see things another way. No matter how long your favorite pet lives, it never seems long enough, so love them as long as they are our companions. Before you decide on a Great Dane, please research the breed. I plan to post links soon to help. Feel free to contact me about any questions.
 Sunday, in my memory.
