Welcome to Willowell Farms.

I think of us as the home of Little Horses and Giant Dogs.
We raise Miniature Horses and Great Dane dogs.

Let's meet the Great Danes.

I have been breeding and raising Great Danes for over 12 years. I have placed many puppies into caring homes, mostly in my local area. This allowed me to follow the progress and eventual passing of some of my puppies. In this way, they never left my home.
In 2005, I lost my black girls, ages 9 and 11.

Contrary to what you might think, Great Danes don't require a lot of room to roam. They are mostly quiet dogs who will enjoy your attention, couch and bed more than a large yard. They can be more expensive to keep than a smaller dog. Not only do they require more dog food, but medical expenses are usually higher because of the larger doses of medication they may need. My only regret I have about Great Danes is the fact that large dogs tend to have a shorter life span. This hit me hard last year with the loss of my girls, but it also helped me see things another way. No matter how long your favorite pet lives, it never seems long enough, so love them as long as they are our companions. Before you decide on a Great Dane, please research the breed. I plan to post links soon to help. Feel free to contact me about any questions.
Sunday

Sunday, in my memory.

Morgan Le Faye

Morgan, our new future. Sad to report that we lost Morgan Le Faye in October 2014 at the age of 8. It would be harder to find a dog with a nicer temperament and loyalty.

Lila Danois

Morgan guided me to find Lila Danois, who is turning out to be a fine Dane and could be the rebirth of our breeding program.
